Setting up a humanist group can be a great way to put your humanism into action in your community and meet new people. There may even already be other Humanists UK members and supporters in your area also interested in setting up a local group.
We support two kinds of local humanist groups: ‘Humanists UK Local Groups’, and ‘humanist partner groups’.
Local Groups are integrated parts of Humanists UK, led by a local team of volunteers. All Humanists UK members, and supporters are automatically part of their Local Group.
Partner groups are independent local groups whose working relationship with Humanists UK is governed by our partnership agreement.
If you have any questions, or would like to start a conversation about establishing a new Local Group, or partner group, please contact us at localgroups@humanists.uk.
