The Government has suggested increasing legal discrimination based on religion in schools.

It’s 2024 and we think, in a diverse society, this is just wrong. All families should be able to send their child to their local state school. It’s just common sense. Taxpayer-funded schools should be open to all, regardless of background.

The facts are on our side

This isn’t the first time the UK Government has attempted this. They tried it back in 2018. We rallied a backlash and they failed. And since then, evidence has been mounting against faith admissions in schools. It’s clear as day: cherry-picking children by religion also divides children by race, social class, disability, and care status. All too often, poorer families lose out on being able to go to their nearest school.

Add your name

Help us tell Rishi Sunak that we’re tired of religion being used to justify discrimination. Add your name if you want a state education system that welcomes all children, promotes social mobility, and which does not divide up children by religion.
