Sue Cook

Sue Cook was made a patron of Humanists UK for her exploration of the human condition through the arts.

Author, journalist, and broadcaster

“As a believer in the strength of the human spirit rather than a need to be attached to any one particular dogma, I have long felt in sympathy with the Humanist movement. I put an extra ‘ o’ in God and put my faith in the overall Good in humanity.”

TV viewers will know Sue Cook from her many BBC shows – including “Crimewatch UK”, the annual Children in Need appeal and “Holiday”. To BBC radio listeners she is a familiar voice as presenter of many individual programmes and series such as “You and Yours” and “Making History” for Radio 4.

Sue is now a successful novelist. Her first two novels are entitled On Dangerous Ground and Force of Nature. She is currently working on her third. (Buy her books at Amazon.co.uk through this link and a small commission will go to Humanists UK.)
