Peace demo tomorrow morning, London

23 June, 2014

Our friends in the peace and anti-arms-trade movements tell us that there will be a prestigious conference (details below or see www.rusi.org/landwarfare) organised by the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) but sponsored by arms manufacturers, tomorrow Tues 24 June at Church House Conference Centre, Westminster, nearest tube Westminster.  Christian peace and justice groups are planning a silent vigil outside Deans Yard in protest, to say that the church shouldn’t host or profit from arms-sponsored events.

Humanists might like to join the demo from 8am until 9 (the conf starts at 9am) with placards if you wish.

There will be another conference t on Wednesday 9th July https://www.rusi.org/airpowerconference.  With the giants of BAE, Lockheed, Finmeccanica as sponsors.  Starts at 12, so there’ll be a presence before this conference as well, details to be confirmed.
