Zine workshop | Humanist Heritage
Zines have a radical history, used from the first half of the 20th century to give voice to subcultures and spread revolutionary ideas. From sci-fi fans and artists to feminists and freedom fighters, these self-publishers formed part of a tradition that was older still, encompassing campaigning tracts, philosophical pamphlets, and cheap reprints – all mediums well-used by humanists and freethinkers across centuries.
In this creative workshop, we’ll explore this fascinating history through a range of examples, before getting to work creating our own zines. No prior experience or artistic skills required!
