Avril Lucas, a Humanists UK funeral celebrant, will talk about how funerals can be planned around the wishes of the person who has died, their family, and friends. Avril will explain how the humanist celebrant helps to create a personal, unique funeral, with music, readings, and poems chosen by those involved. The celebrant will lead the ceremony, a celebration of life that becomes something to remember, rather than a time of dread. Avril’s talk includes planning your own funeral or memorial ceremony.

Avril will also provide an overview of humanist weddings and ceremonies which her celebrant colleagues offer. All Humanist Ceremonies celebrants, including Avril, are trained and accredited by Humanists UK.
