LGBT History and Me | LGBT Humanists
Join LGBT Humanists UK and special guests at this virtual panel discussion, to hear as they discuss how some of the stand-out moments of LGBT history impacted them personally, their friends, family, and the queer community.
Panellists will share their LGBT experiences from across several decades, from transitioning in the 1970s to campaigning for LGBT rights today, with special guests, including:
- Ellen Jones – award-winning campaigner and author of 'Outrage: Why the Fight for LGBT Equality Is Not Yet Won and What You Can Do About It'
- Adèle Anderson – actor, singer, lyricist, and member of the cabaret group Fascinating Aïda. Adèle is a patron of Humanists UK
- Richard Angell OBE – Chief Executive of Terrence Higgins Trust since March 2023. Richard was previously the charity’s Campaigns Director and interim Head of Policy & Public Affairs.
This event, following on from LGBT Humanists' 45th anniversary year in 2024, will support and celebrate LGBT History Month’s 20 years of commitment to highlighting the incredible things LGBT people in all our diversity have achieved throughout history in all areas of life.
