'Does God Hate Women?' - a talk from Brian Quinn | York Humanists

Women are treated as second class by most, if not all, religions and yet women are more religious than men. With women getting such a raw deal from religion, why do they put up with god’s mysterious misogyny? And how can we explain his attitude problem? Let’s try to show a little understanding, because the answer gives new hope for the world.
Brian Quinn was the first Coordinator of York Humanists and Chair of its predecessor, North Yorkshire Humanists, for many years. In his working life he had spells as a physicist, statistician, local government officer and NHS manager. Since retirement, he has had several years’ experience as a school speaker for Humanists UK, and has been active representing a non-religious viewpoint on partnership boards of local authorities, police and NHS. Brian is also a non-religious pastoral support volunteer with a hospital chaplaincy team.
