'What are you doing on the team?' Strategies for establishing your legitimacy and addressing those frustrating microaggressions.

Jo Mutlow shares her own journey through hostile work environments with suggestions for strategies to bring about change, to earn respect and to challenge the discrimination that we all too often encounter as non-religious members of teams. This session has been organised in response to regular themes that come up in supervision and draws on Jo's experience of volunteering and working on bank, and then as a Band 6 chaplain in the NHS. Things have moved on since Jo started in pastoral care 8 years ago, but there is still significant resistance to our inclusion in many spiritual and pastoral care services, and we carry the moral injury and frustration at the slow pace of change. Let's explore in this webinar, positive ways to incrementally establish our legitimacy and contributions.
