Birmingham Pride | LGBT Humanists
Pride parades are one of the most important events in our annual calendar. They give us a unique opportunity to promote humanism to thousands of people in the LGBT community. They allow us to network and develop relationships with organisations that share similar goals. And they allow us to celebrate the contribution that humanists have made throughout history to LGBT rights, freedom of expression, and towards building a fairer, more rational society.
Birmingham Pride is a vibrant parade is also a celebration of LGBT life, demonstrating our contribution to our community and our city so let’s get out our banners and raise them high, wear and carry our flags and let’s show Birmingham what our community is about. Let’s make this year’s parade the most colourful yet.
If you’re around on Saturday 24 May, and you’d like to join us at Birmingham Pride, please register your attendance to march with LGBT Humanists today.
Birminhgam Pride will start from Centenary Square and full details of where and when to meet together will be emailed to all registered attendees nearer the date. We will be marching with with our fellow LGBT Humanists toghether with friends and allies from Birmingham Humanists as well as those from the West Midlands Humanists Celebrants group.
The coordinator on the day will have a stack of LGBT Humanists-branded T-shirts for you to wear and we'll be holding banners and placards to promote humanism and our LGBT campaigns.
