The Annual Convention of the National Federation of Atheist, Humanist and Secular Student Societies is a key fixture in the non-religious calendar, bringing the biggest names of atheism, humanism and secularism together for the Speakers Day on the 8th of March, which this year features:
- A. C. Grayling - Philosopher and Master of New College of the Humanities
- Simon Singh - Mathematician and libel reform advocate
- Andrew Copson - chief executive of the British Humanist Association
- Kenan Malik - Writer, lecturer and broadcaster
- Richard Norman - Philosopher and ethicist
- Christina Patterson - Journalist
- Mary Honeyball - Labour MEP and womens’ rights advocate.
- Tehmina Kazi – Director of British Muslims for Secular Democracy
Student tickets also cover a second day, the 9th of March, with workshops at UCL on everything from running student societies to a debating workshop with the BHA's Andrew Copson. It is not to be missed!
