Nibbles and Notions Connective: Community, Conversation & Shared Snacks | Bangor Humanists

28 April 2026, 19:00 -- 21:00

What is a Connective? A Connective is more than just a standard social gathering. It’s a dedicated space meant to bridge the gap between casual chatting and the deeper exploration of ethics, reason, and life.

The Nibbles: Shared Finger-Food To keep our energy focused on connecting with one another, we’re keeping the food casual and easy. You are warmly invited to bring a snack-style dish to share with the group!

  • The Rule of Thumb: If you can eat it without a fork, it’s a "nibble"!

  • The Transparency Note: Please note the ingredients of your dish to help members with dietary restrictions.

The Notions: Group Discussion The heart of our evening will be a structured group exercise. We’ll break into smaller circles to explore several "notions"—challenging and thought-provoking statements designed to inspire reflection. Come prepared to listen, share your thoughts, and perhaps see things from a completely new perspective.

"Connection is the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued."
