The AHS Convention is the standout event each year for atheist, humanist, and secular students across the UK – and 2016 is no different. Be sure to buy your ticket – from only £12 – today.
On Saturday 12 March, Conway Hall, the oldest surviving freethought society in the world, will play host to the AHS Convention 2016, for a fun-filled day of fascinating talks, in-depth discussion, and brilliant comedy and entertainment. Conway Hall’s nearest underground station is Holborn, less than five minutes’ journey from Kings Cross station, providing the easiest of transport links from across the country.
We are delighted to say that we will be joined by Humanists UK President Shappi Khorsandi, anti-creationist and prolific YouTuber Aron Ra, and director of British Muslims for Secular Democracy Tehmina Kazi, alongside secular education campaigner Lilandra Ra, senior researcher in Islamic studies at the Quilliam Foundation Usama Hasan, feminist and Christian author Dianna E Anderson, schoolteacher and Humanists UK trustee Alom Shaha, and evolutionary biochemist Nick Lane. Also speaking will be: philosopher Arif Ahmed; campaigner for feminism within the atheist community Cristina Rad; philosopher, author, and Provost of Centre for Inquiry UK Stephen Law; historian Victoria Stiles; and founder of Faith Matters which runs the Tell MAMA project (Measuring Anti-Muslim Attacks), Fiyaz Mughal.
This exciting, fun-filled one-day event will kick off at 09:00 on Saturday 12 March, in Conway Hall, a stone’s throw from Holborn Underground Station, coming to a close at 17:00.
A full programme will be made available here in the coming weeks.
Join us at this fantastic event, to hear from our incredible array of speakers, and meet friends old and new, students and non-students. This event is open to all, so come along!
Tickets cost £14 for members of the public, and just £12 for members of Humanists UK or Partner Groups, and Friends of Conway Hall. Book now.
