The Welsh Government refuses to ban the teaching of creationism as fact in schools. This is unacceptable.

Creationism is NOT science. Schools shouldn’t be teaching it as literally true.
The government in England banned creationism from being taught in science classes over a decade ago. But the Welsh Government has yet to respond to a campaign from the UK’s top scientists to officially ban it.
One example of it is Llanidloes High School, where students have been exposed to Bible-based ‘science’ posters and misleading guidance pages in school planners.
Creationism can be taught about in RE as an example of what some people believe – but science lessons should teach science, not fairytales.
Welsh students deserve a fact-based education, free from religious bias. Creationism should be discussed in religious studies – not presented as a scientific truth.
We are a community standing up for high-quality education based on evidence and reason. Together, we’re calling for the Welsh Government to make it explicitly clear that creationism should never be taught as scientifically valid.
