Actor and DJ

Kristian Nairn was born and raised in Lisburn in Northern Ireland.

He is best known for his role as Hodor in the popular series Game of Thrones: an internationally acclaimed series that won numerous awards and nominations including two Primetime Emmy Award nominations and a Golden Globe Award nomination.

Nairn is also an accomplished DJ. For the last 20 years, he has been one of Ireland’s most prolific resident-house DJs. Kristian has also played at venues all over the world including international superclubs Amnesia, Cafe Mambo, and Hakkasan. He has also played at some of the biggest dance festivals, including Tomorrowland in Belgium, Untold Festival in Romania, and Sunburn Festival in India. He continues to play his DJ sets to clubs around the world, also headlining his own “Rave of Thrones” club show – a fully immersive Game of Thrones clubbing experience which has toured the UK, the USA, and Australia.

Nairn is an advocate for LGBT rights. In 2016, ahead of the legalisation of same-sex marriage in Northern Ireland, he said, ‘There’s a lot of very amazing things about Northern Ireland, but the gay rights issues are definitely not one of them.’
