October Humanist Gathering | Nottingham Humanists
This October, join us for the Nottingham Local Group's Humanist Gathering where you can join fellow humanists, learn more about humanism and be a part of the community. There'll be a time for reflection, a talk from our guest speaker Alison Collis, together with others who will also be sharing their experience of being humanists. Alison is going to be explaining the Ego State Model from the world of psychology, and then use this to explore how humanists update their beliefs. This understanding also helps us to empathise with and connect to others who hold different beliefs. The whole event should be wrapped up in around an hour, but afterwards, all are welcome to stick around for tea, biscuits, and a good ol' natter. We thoroughly encourage families to join us, where there'll be toys for younger children and craft-based activities for older kids too.
The Gathering starts at 1pm.
The event is free, but any donations are greatly appreciated and help with our running costs, so that we can continue to put on events like this.
We look forward to seeing you there, where you too can help build the humanist community in Nottingham.
