We are excited to announce a new talk by science communicator Alom Shaha. For those of us raised in controlling religious groups, we were often taught things that contradict or leave out what the science says or what is actually known on the topic. Faith to Faithless aims to help correct this miseducation by putting on a series of talks by experts who can explain what is known on a topic where controlling religious groups often teach untruths.

Alom Shaha is a well-known science communicator who teaches at a comprehensive school in London, and has presented and produced several science documentaries on television. He is ex-Muslim, and is a patron of Humanists UK. Alom will speak about what science tells us about the origins of life and the universe. Alom speaks in a warm and engaging way that enables people even with very little prior knowledge to understand and learn. He will speak with us as formerly religious people in mind as he dispels the untruths some of us were taught. This is open to anyone in the UK who has left a controlling religious group. There will be space at the end to ask questions, and this event will not be recorded.
