Assisted Dying – A Great Debate | York Humanists
York Humanists is hosting a Great Debate on assisted dying, on 25 July at the Friargate Quaker Meeting House in York.
John Watson, Editor of ‘The Switzerland Alternative’ website will be speaking in support of the motion, ‘This House believes that His Majesty’s Government should legalise assisted dying, with appropriate safeguards’, and Bill Hulme, Medical Director of St Leonards Hospice will be putting the opposing arguments. The event will be chaired by Lord Mayor-elect of York, Councillor Chris Cullwick.
Doors will open at 18:30 and the debate will start at 19:00.
