Humanism: past, present, and future – with Andrew Copson | Leeds Humanists launch

What does it mean to lead a good life? If you believe that human beings can find an answer to this question based on reason and empathy, and without reference to the superstitious or supernatural, then chances are you're a humanist, even if you don't yet identify as one.
In this talk Andrew Copson, Chief Executive of Humanists UK, will speak on the history of humanism, what it actually means, and what its future may hold. As well as defining humanism and allowing guests to better understand any humanist beliefs they may already hold, he will also talk about how humanists can come together to be a force for good in our ever more divided world.
