Donating in memory

Remember someone you love by supporting the causes they cared about

When someone dies, we often give flowers, but many families and friends ask for donations to a charity the person supported during their life. A gift in their memory to Humanists UK helps build the kinder, fairer world they believed in.

How to give in someone’s memory

Donate online

Through the funeral director

Ask the funeral director to arrange a collection or donations in their memory.

How it works →

By post

Send your personal donation, or a collection in their memory, to Humanists UK, 3 Waterhouse Square, London EC1N 2SW.

Planning ahead

If you would like Humanists UK to receive donations in memory when you die, it may help to tell your executor. Print out and complete our donation in memory form, and keep it with your will.

Please don’t attach anything to your will, as this may make it invalid. And remember that your will may not be read until after your funeral, so your family or executor need to know your wishes beforehand.

A humanist funeral

A humanist funeral is a non-religious ceremony that celebrates the life of the person who has died. Our celebrants work across England and Wales.
