Saturday Lunchtime Social | Liverpool Humanists
Happy New Year 2024! From the first cells to we modern humans here and now, we have come a long way through evolution. We have adapted, and survived many challenges, and we have learned and grown from our experiences. As we enter a new year, let us celebrate our achievements, and also remember our ancestors and their contributions. Let us be grateful for the diversity and beauty of life, and also respect and protect our planet and its wildlife. May this year bring us all happiness and health, and may we achieve our goals and dreams. May we always have love and kindness in our hearts, and may we always have curiosity and wonder in our minds.
On Saturday, 27 January join Liverpool Humanists for a buffet meal and a relaxed, friendly social get-together in a public space in central Liverpool, while enjoying delicious pan-Asian food. Members, supporters, and friends, old and new, are free to choose how much time to spend together, and how they wish to shape the rest of the day. There is no charge for this event, just pay for your own food and drink.
Drop by if you're non-religious and you would like to meet like-minded people in a relaxed atmosphere, if you're just questioning your beliefs and aren't sure where to turn, or you are recovering from religion and looking for social support. We will have the opportunity to talk about our plans for re-establishing regular speaker events, workshops, campaigns, and other activities, and how people might like to get involved. We are keen to hear your ideas, and to know what you want from your local section.
This event is equally suitable for new members looking to get to know us for the first time, as well as for seasoned members wanting to keep in touch with the group. Do come and join us. We look forward to meeting you, or seeing you again.
