'Atheism, Religion, and Human Nature: the Evolutionary Puzzles of Faith and Atheism' with the Merseyside Skeptics Society
Come and listen to a talk on how our species evolved to have religions and why so many are now moving to a non-religious worldview. Psychologist Will Gervais will showcase his lab’s work on atheism – how atheists are perceived globally, how stigmatisation of atheism distorts our scientific theories, and how understanding atheism can help us form better scientific questions about religion, morality, and human nature.
It's also a perfect opportunity to meet members of your local humanist group, Liverpool Humanists, as well as members of the Merseyside Skeptics, who will be hosting the event. The Casa Bar is a great venue on Hope Street where we can interact socially with friends old and new. We really hope you'll join us there.
