GLF national think in at Leeds in 1971Join us to explore the lives and legacies of some of West Yorkshire's homegrown human rights champions, from the well-known to the unsung.

Though some, like Ilkley-born activist for reproductive rights Alice Jenkins, or Mirfield's Henry Noel Brailsford, a co-founder of the Men's League for Women's Suffrage, are little remembered today, their impact was felt far and wide.

Discover the places our 'handful of pioneers' were born, lived, and loved, and learn more about their role in achieving rights many of us now take for granted - blazing trails for activists to come.
