Step out of the ordinary and spend your Sunday with Cornwall’s Humanist community. Our monthly gathering is a welcoming space for conversation, connection and curiosity - and you’re invited.

Join us for friendly discussion, shared food, and a chance to meet like‑minded people. We end with a bring‑and‑share meal, so feel free to bring something along (with allergens clearly labelled).

This month’s speaker is Martin Lavelle from Plymouth Humanists, who will be guiding us through the wonderfully strange world of quantum theory. If you’ve ever wondered why quantum physics seems to break all the rules (or why scientists keep talking about cats in boxes), this is your chance to explore the mysteries with someone who can make the weirdness make sense.

Quantum theory has passed every test thrown at it, yet still manages to surprise us. Will the cat be let out of the box? Come along and find out... Perhaps.

This event is free to attend, but we welcome any donations, which help with our running costs.

We would love people to come in person, but for those who cannot for reasons of distance or ability we will try to stream the event as a zoom meeting.
