Science centres for creating global citizens - Dr Natalie Whitehead | Exeter Humanists

Come and find out about the ridiculously exciting work of Exeter Science Centre – a local educational charity dedicated to public engagement with STEAMM (science, tech, engineering, arts, maths, and medicine).
In this talk, Natalie will explain Exeter Science Centre's (ESC's) mission and vision for the future of science centres; as cultural centres which are created in collaboration with the communities that they serve, and that play a fundamental role in creating global citizens.
ESC is a registered charity (CIO), running projects and events across the South West to connect people with research and industry linked to global issues – so that we can all work together to tackle them. In parallel, they are working to create a network of agile, responsive science centres in the region, starting in Barnstaple and Exeter, which reach people of all ages and interests (especially those who 'don't like science').
Come along to find out about their work and how you can get involved!
