A once-in-generation opportunity to make history

On Friday 29 November, Kim Leadbeater MP’s Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill will have its Second Reading. This vote could well bring about real compassionate change to people who are dying. But we still don’t know the position of a lot of MPs. The Bill passing is not at all certain. So, if you support a more compassionate law, write to your MP now.

Write to your MP

By writing to your MP, you can urge them to stand up for choice, dignity, and compassion for those who need it most. No matter what party your MP is for, no matter what they’ve said in the past, ask them to support assisted dying and speak in favour of choice, compassion and autonomy.

Personalise your impact

We’ve made it easy for you to write by providing a standard letter, but we know that MPs react best to letters where they are customised to match your own experience and views. Here’s how you can do that:

  • If you are terminally ill and fear you will need an assisted death, please talk about this.
  • If you have or have had a loved one who would have benefited from a compassionate assisted dying law, please talk about this.
  • If you are a medical professional, please explain how this influences your views.
