Humanists in Law brings together solicitors, barristers, and academic lawyers with shared interests in humanism, secularism, and ethical issues. Many also provide pro bono support with Humanists UK’s legal work. This can take the form of formulating policy, producing briefings, and drafting amendments for use in parliamentary lobbying, or representing Humanists UK or individual humanists who face discrimination and want to uphold justice through the law.
