Full house! Humanists UK 2024 Convention sells out in Cardiff

2 May, 2024

Tickets for Humanists UK Convention 2024 have now sold out, with well over 500 humanists booked to attend this summer’s festival of humanism from across Wales, the UK, and beyond.

Over 14–16 June, 500 humanists will converge on Cardiff for three days. The event has reached new heights in 2024, selling out for the first time since before Covid, even as more speakers are due to be announced.

Cardiff was always going to be a fantastic host city for Humanists UK Convention 2024. The conference will be a celebration of the successes of secularism and humanism in Wales and Welsh public life. More than 100 years on from the disestablishment of the Church in Wales, tolerance and pluralism have taken root in a modern and confident nation. Today, Wales benefits from a devolved Assembly instituted as a secular body; an open, flourishing, and enriched civic sphere; and strong support for equality and human rights across all demographics, including the right to freedom of religion or belief.

Humanists UK Convention is always a highlight of the humanist calendar. Following a hard day of training for some of the most dedicated humanist activists, volunteers, and advocates, the Convention proper kicks off on Friday night with a fantastic evening of entertainment, and welcome drinks in the bar. From Saturday morning, attendees will be joined by scientists and historians, campaigners and politicians, authors and researchers – including a very special guest – to entertain, educate, delight, and inspire over 500 happy humanists from across the country.
