ShareAction offer to humanist groups in London:  free workshops about pension fund activism to groups across London. ShareAction is on a “mission to mobilise the power of financial institutions to support people and planet. We focus on pension funds who invest huge sums of money on behalf of ordinary savers in corporations around the world…At the moment, our pension savings are funding climate change and other deeply unsustainable business practices. But we want to change all that – we have a right to have a say in how our money is used and what effect it has on our communities and on our planet. By sparking up a conversation with your pension provider, you can encourage them to support the low-carbon economy, to challenge negligent and polluting companies and to be more open and accountable about how they’re using your money.”

The Climate Coalition (TCC) actions coming up
On the afternoon of Sunday 21st September The Climate Coalition will be gathering in central London just before world leaders gather at a Climate Summit in New York, which will act as a warm up to crucial climate negotiations next December. TCC willl be calling on David Cameron to show ambition and leadership by outlining the UK’s commitment to taking action to tackle climate change.
In the meantime, you can:
–  Tell TCC what you love at http://fortheloveof.org.uk/ and want to protect from climate change, and TCC will show the best of the ‘loves’ on a big screen on the day.
Watch a film to inspire you.
– In late August/ early September, vote for what you love to make sure it gets shown on the big screen on the 21st.
– Register to attend the 21 September event at this Eventbrite page
– Tell your  MP what you love and will miss (TCC will have an online action ready in early August to make this easy – the ask will be for MPs to encourage David Cameron to attend the summit and show ambition).
