An opportunity to act if you’re concerned about drilling for oil in the Arctic – don’t worry, no climbing tall buildings involved!
Update, 3/9/13:
The parade will start at 12:00 on Sunday 15th, meeting next to Parliament in Victoria Tower Gardens and ends at Shell HQ, next to Jubilee Gardens and Waterloo station.. Look out for H4BW and Stop Climate Chaos, meeting at the Buxton Memorial Fountain in the middle of the Gardens. For map and more info see http://action.greenpeace.org.uk/page/s/aurora?source=fb&subsource=aurorafb4. Everyone is requested to wear white!
Do join us at this Greenpeace parade, whether you are worried about the effects on wildlife, or the possibility of pollution in one of the few remaining pristine regions of this planet, or the impact on climate and future generations of producing and burning yet more fossil fuels. The parade on 15th will mark the moment when the Arctic ice melts to its lowest point of the year. It will be led by Aurora, an awe-inspiring, double-decker bus sized polar bear – and look out for the somewhat smaller Humanists for a Better World banner (pictured right) at the event meeting place. Sign up for details and updates at http://action.greenpeace.org.uk/page/s/aurora and see aurora_is_coming for more information.
