Start thinking about Climate Weeks, 4-10 March 2013

6 November, 2012

Can you work with your local humanist group or a local environmental group to put on an event during Climate Week 2013? Some encouragement and suggestions from the Climate Week team:

“Organisations across the UK are signing up to take part in the UK’s biggest climate change campaign, Climate Week, which is on 4-10 March 2013. Each year half a million people attend 3,000 events focusing on how people can live and work more sustainably.
Please help grow the campaign – register any activities you are planning and follow Climate Week on Twitter and Facebook.
Here are some ways your organisation can be part of this national occasion, completely for free:
1. Run an event that suits your organisation – this could be anything from a film screening to a bike-to-work scheme.
2. Enter the Climate Week Challenge – a competition for teams of 4-6 in schools and workplaces. Register here!
3. Run a Climate Week Swap – swap clothes, books, toys and DVDs, saving money and reducing waste. Register your event for a chance to swap with a celebrity – you could win an item from celebrities such as Andy Murray, Zoe Wanamaker and Hugh Laurie.
Be part of Climate Week 2013 – please register now. It takes just two minutes and will help build a movement for change – encouraging others in your sector or community to start planning their own events.
See the events registered so far here and view the Climate Week film here. For more information email info@climateweek.com or call 020 3397 2601.”
