At the Stop Climate Chaos this Friday there were a couple of requests for support from regional groups that some of Humanists for a Better World may be able to help with:
– Stop Climate Chaos Cymru http://s(topclimatechaoscymru.org/about/) would welcome the support of Welsh humanists, individually or collectively. Stop Climate Chaos Cymru currently includes:OxfamCymru, Unison, National Union of Students, Friends of the Earth Cymru, RSPB Cymru,SustransCymru, WWF Cymru, Cafod, Christian Aid Wales, Coed Cadw – the Woodland Trust, Tearfund, National Federation of Women’s Institutes Wales, the Wildlife Trusts Wales and the Centre for Alternative Technology.
– I Wiltshire, Climate Friendly Bradford on Avon(www.climatefriendlynbradfordonavon.co.uk) would welcome support and local letter-writers to help them campaign for wind turbines in their area and combat some of the myths and negative publicity put about by the powerful fossil fuel energy companies and local NIMBYs.
