European Humanist Federation launches new website

18 November, 2011

The BHA is pleased to announce that the European Humanist Federation (EHF), of which it is a member, has launched its new website. While the address (www.humanistfederation.eu) remains unchanged, the site has been completely redesigned, and visitors will find a range of new resources available to them, including a revamped search engine, a news archive, and automatic Google translation of foreign language material.

Additionally, the website includes a major new section, Country Profiles, which provides detailed information about church-state relations and other constitutional arrangements for each European nation, all sourced from independent academic study. The section also includes listings for member organisations of the EHF, as well as collected reports and press cuttings from across Europe.

Based in Brussels, the EHF is the main organisation uniting humanist and secularist organisations across Europe, and works in dialogue with the European Union to promote the principles of human rights, anti-discrimination and equality of law. The BHA’s Chief Executive Andrew Copson is a former Director of the EHF, and Naomi Phillips, BHA’s Head of Public Affairs, has been a Director of the EHF for the past 18 months.
