There is a petition to the Government on the recently announced 50% cut to the Feed In Tariffs (FITs) for domestic PV panel installations at http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/20912. While a small cut might be justified (the price of panels has gone down and their efficiency has improved) a, cut of this size will deter many from investing in PV, including the firms that were offering free PV panels in return for the FIT – and will make life very difficult for a new industry that could help the UK to meet its carbon targets and provide many green jobs.
And last but not least, the Day of Action on Climate Change on December 3rd – and H4BW, with banner and humanist leaflets, aim to be at the Stand up for Climate Justice March and Rally in London, which will assemble at 12.00 noon.
