Many parents want the opportunity to bring together family and friends and celebrate the joy, wonder and responsibility of introducing their child to the world. For many parents, a religious service isn’t appropriate, and with a humanist approach you can be free to have the ceremony that is right for your family and friendship group.
A naming ceremony is a lovely celebration of everything to do with welcoming and raising a child. The other part of the celebration usually involves cake! There are really no rules for how you run the ceremony and they can take place anywhere. I enjoy working with people to make their ideas a reality in a meaningful and child-centred ceremony.
Maybe you have some wonderful thoughts on how you would like your ceremony, or maybe you have no idea where to start. Either way, please do contact me to find out how I can help.
Feedback from last year: “Jon was a joy; both to create the ceremony with and on the day – collaborative, relaxed, thoughtful and genuine. Thank you for making it such a special day for us.”
