My name is Victoria Baldwin and and I’m a Funeral Celebrant, trained and accredited by Humanists UK. It would be my privilege to be your Funeral Celebrant and enable you to say a final farewell to your loved one, with dignity and respect.
I live in Barry, in the Vale of Glamorgan, with my husband, our son and our rescue cats. I am a second language Welsh speaker and can incorporate this into your ceremony should you wish.
I believe that each and every person deserves a ceremony created just for them. That’s why every ceremony that I write will be bespoke and designed to honour the memory of your loved one.
Whether you choose a traditional funeral or a Memorial Service, I will work with you to capture the essence of what made your loved one special – things that they said or did, their habits, likes and dislikes. By their nature, funerals are a difficult time for families, but a well-written ceremony that truly reflects the person who has died can help ease some of the stress relating to bereavement. And as direct cremations become more popular, many families are now choosing to hold a Memorial Service in place of a funeral.
Each family with whom I have worked has told me that the ceremony perfectly captures their loved one. My ceremonies are respectful and dignified, but include humour where appropriate. I have attended funerals where I don’t recognise the person being spoken about, or where details are inaccurate. With over 40 years experience of writing professionally for a wide range of audiences, I am confident that I can produce the perfect ceremony for your loved one. I refuse to do a ceremony that is less than perfect, so that is my commitment to you.
