Hello there,

​I'm Mair, an accredited humanist funeral celebrant based in South-East London and originally from South Wales.

Holding a humanist funeral service or a celebration of life ceremony is a meaningful and beautiful way to celebrate the life and legacy of your loved one.

I take great pride in creating bespoke humanist funeral services and celebration of life ceremonies that truly do justice to your loved one's memory, with a warm and authentic tone of voice.I specialise in bilingual ceremonies in French and Welsh, and I'd be more than happy to discuss the practicalities of organising a bilingual ceremony with you.

While humanist funeral services are non-religious ceremonies, I'll work closely with you to make sure your loved one's ceremony is inclusive to all your guests - including those with a religious faith.

My nearest crematoria and burial grounds include: Beckenham, Honor Oak, West Norwood, Croydon, Hither Green, Lambeth, Eltham, South London, Bluebell (Sevenoaks), Mortlake, Islington, City of London and Kemnal Park (Sidcup).

I'm always happy to work with your chosen funeral director to finalise your chosen elements, including any written order of services or ordering music on your behalf via the Obitus or Wesley platforms.

I also offer pre-planned funerals and living funerals.

Fees from...

£260 for a single-slot funeral in a crematorium; £350 for celebration of life ceremonies and living funerals; £100 for shorter ash interment or ash scattering ceremonies; pre-planning funeral meetings from £50 depending on the level of planning required. I do not charge for funerals for children under the age of 18.

We all pay a monthly fee to Humanists UK to further support the work of the charity, and are part of a regional network for like-minded celebrants for support and learning.

Humanist funerals

Humanist funerals, memorials and ash ceremonies are a fitting way to honour a unique life with warmth, sensitivity and meaning, but without reference to religion or an afterlife. They put the story of the person who has died at the heart of the ceremony, paying tribute to them and the legacy they leave, and provide an opportunity to bring people together, not just to share sadness but to celebrate a life lived.
