Hi, I'm Lucia

Welcome to my page!

I am an English/Italian bilingual Humanist Celebrant.

If you are here, you are looking for a personal ceremony: a funeral or memorial to be drafted together - as traditional or quirky as you could wish - to be just right for you and your loved one.

Having attended many impersonal funerals, I am proud and honoured to now be able to create ceremonies which are meaningful, which tell the story of a unique person, honouring their life and contributions.

My role will be to facilitate and guide your event, and support you throughout the process.

A humanist ceremony – be it a cremation, a burial, a memorial, an interment or a scattering of ashes – gives you the chance to say goodbye to your loved one, to express your sadness and love in a meaningful way. It is also the opportunity to celebrate someone’s life, in line with their values and beliefs, and to create an event which can be both personal and inclusive for all present.

Lucia was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. She took time to get to know us and, by the time she conducted Mum’s ceremony it felt like she knew her in life. Lucia was extremely helpful whilst putting the ceremony together by guiding us through and advising when needed. Thank you, Lucia for creating and presenting a very personal and fitting tribute to our dear Mum and, for making a difficult time, easier

HUMANIST CEREMONIES™ is the network of more than 550 celebrants, trained by national charity Humanists UK to a gold standard to provide memorable and meaningful humanist ceremonies to non-religious people. Operating throughout England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands, we deliver authentic, tailor-made and heartfelt ceremonies for life’s key moments. They are always inclusive and welcoming, regardless of the beliefs of those attending.

You can trust Humanist Ceremonies celebrants: We are DBS-checked, fully insured, and regularly peer reviewed for quality assurance. We are committed to a code of conduct, and have a transparent and robust complaints process in the rare case of a problem. We all pay a monthly fee to Humanists UK to further support the work of the charity, and are part of a regional network for like-minded celebrants for support and learning.

Humanist funerals

Humanist funerals, memorials and ash ceremonies are a fitting way to honour a unique life with warmth, sensitivity and meaning, but without reference to religion or an afterlife. They put the story of the person who has died at the heart of the ceremony, paying tribute to them and the legacy they leave, and provide an opportunity to bring people together, not just to share sadness but to celebrate a life lived.
