Hi, I'm Hannah

A West Yorkshire-based humanist wedding Celebrant with 14+ years' experience leading beautiful humanist wedding ceremonies, hand-fastings and vow renewals in Huddersfield, Halifax, Wakefield, Bradford, North Yorkshire (Skipton, Harrogate, York) and beyond. 500+ stellar reviews, hard-earned. Your loved ones' words included as standard. I adore what I do.

'My goodness, did we make the right decision in Hannah. We knew what we wanted, but it was her amazing ability to ask the right questions and craft the right words that made it an altogether perfect reality. The number of compliments? Staggering.’ Beth + Ian

Who tends to hire you? - I’ve worked with the widest range of couples imaginable, but they’ve all been looking for something more than the average ‘personalised’ ceremony. They may not have initially known what theirs would include, but they did know they wanted it to captivate, move and delight their guests. The depth and breadth of my unique creative process and the fact it’s so fun, thought-provoking and rewarding, really appealed.

‘We’re lucky enough to be close friends with an amazing (and extremely critical) professional cellist, who literally goes to hundreds of wedding ceremonies annually. So when he told us ours was the best he has ever seen, we knew we’d nailed it!’ Jen

What’s different about your approach? - Crucially, how I gather the information I need: using your individual and joint answers to bespoke questions you’ve had time to think about privately, separately and together, within an innovative three phase process. I also include loved ones’ words in all my ceremonies which, as far as I know, nobody else does. Then there's the quality of my writing, the lengths I go to, my intuitive attention to detail and way of performing.

‘So many commented on how much effort Hannah made with them during and after our ceremony, how our wedding day felt so very personal, emotional and fun. In fact, a few who were rather ‘anti-marriage’ have said they’ve been rethinking their position.’ Ruth

How would you choose a Celebrant? - First, I’d look for the differences in the detail. Does their individual approach mean I’m going to get as much out of this process as possible? Then I’d want to hear some of their writing. Does it completely draw me in, so I forget the world for a moment? After our chat ends, do I feel giddy, inspired by all our ceremony could be? This is a once in a lifetime opportunity after all. Why would you accept anything less? HWG

Hiring Hannah as our humanist wedding Celebrant was the best choice we made other than deciding to marry in the first place. She came very highly recommended yet exceeded those expectations tenfold. Honestly, if we could add more stars we would! The best day ever.

— Catherine + Andrew

Family and friends called yesterday, and we re-lived the wedding day from start to finish again. At one point I sat back and watched and listened to them all talking with such admiration for you as our Celebrant that it brought me to tears.

— Angela

Your whole creative approach was wonderful, becoming an incredibly enjoyable part of the run up: we looked forward to our ‘homework’ every time, saving it to do with a glass of wine. Your support has been invaluable Hannah. You’re an absolute delight.

— Liz + Steve

Hannah’s writing is incredibly personal, funny and memorable. Having known her for 10+ years, I can vouch for her reliability and very warm, caring manner, which couples entirely appreciate. I always recommend her as a Celebrant to any of my new enquiries.

— Jules (Losehill House Hotel)

We’ve been to a few friends' Humanist wedding ceremonies now and (I am not just being biased when I say this!) ours was by far the best, as the effort that you put into really getting to know us made all the difference.

— Laura + Steven
