It may sound an odd thing to say, but I really enjoy leading funerals. I've taken more than 1100 now, and every single time I'm struck by how lucky I am, to have had someone's life story entrusted to me, and to be part of helping their family and friends say goodbye the way they want to.
You might want to see someone off with a blast of punk rock or a pork pie on top of the casket - it doesn't matter as long as it's right for them and for you! My job is to take what you tell me about the person you've lost and create a ceremony that gives you the space to share tears, smiles, often laughter too, with the others who are missing them - and it is genuinely a joy to help in some small way with the work of grief that you may be going through.
So whatever you need, however you want to create a way of marking your loss but also celebrating the person you are missing, I'm here to listen and to help make it happen.
I'm here to help if you are planning your own funeral too - it's a particular privilege to hear that life story from the person who lived it, or to hold safe some special message for loved ones once the time has come.
