I am a wedding celebrant trained and accredited by Humanists UK. I am often whimsical, sometimes silly, and fairly joy filled. But above all I take the job of ensuring your wedding day is brilliant very seriously!
What I offer
I work closely with couples to craft bespoke humanist wedding ceremonies that celebrate your relationship, your commitment to one another, and your love story. You are a unique pair. With your own origin story, special super powers and one-of-a-kind connection. On your wedding day you will gather all those you hold dear around you to celebrate your love. This day deserves a ceremony worthy of such a wonderful occasion and excellent couple. That’s what a Humanist Ceremony is. Your story. Your relationship. Your celebration
Maybe there are traditions you want to hold fast to, maybe you want to rip up the rulebook. That’s the fun of a humanist wedding, you really can do whatever you want. Bring me your ideas. Challenge me to dream up something new in collaboration with you. The only real limit is your imagination, and probably the laws of physics!
Why I'm a Celebrant
When I got married, my husband and I opted for a Humanist Ceremony because although neither of us is religious, we really hadn’t been impressed by the registry office weddings we’d seen. They seemed formulaic and above all very rushed. Creating our ceremony was so much fun. Picking music, sprinkling in a few magic touches and writing quotes from TV shows into our vows!
And my brain started ticking away. I felt like I had the skills to be a celebrant, and above all I felt like it was something I’d really love doing. And ever since my training i’ve discovered I was right. It is an honour to be part of such a joyful occasion. Every single ceremony has been so unique, and such a brilliant reflection of the couple it celebrates. And it is simply a delight to meet lovely people and then work hard to ensure their big day is everything they could hope for.
