"We all thought that the ceremony you led was wonderful, friendly and low key - this is just what we had hoped for. Everything has worked out beautifully, we can't thank you enough"
Hello, I’m Emily, a celebrant accredited by Humanists UK. I have the great privilege of creating and conducting personalised and unique naming ceremonies.
A humanist naming ceremony is a chance to celebrate and welcome the arrival of a child into your family and your community. It’s an occasion to bring family and friends together and to perhaps reflect upon the roles that key people will play in the life of the child, or children!
A naming ceremony can be held anywhere and at any time. Although most often done in a child’s early years, they can be appropriate for older children, or for adults who might be celebrating a key milestone or a new chapter in their lives. The occasion can be held pretty much anywhere; a village hall or hotel, a garden, a campsite, a kitchen – the important point is that each ceremony is totally unique, just the way you want it to be and a lovely reflection of who you are as an individual, and/or as a family.
Please do contact me if you are looking for a professional celebrant to conduct a naming ceremony, I'd love to hear from you and I’m happy to have a conversation in the first instance to explain more about what I do and how I work.
