During the lockdown, following a bereavement, people are no longer able to gather to offer their condolences and pay their respects in the usual way. Some families may decide to live-stream the funeral ceremony using a webcam at their local crematorium, while others may choose an online memorial ceremony to bring people together – not in one place, but at least all at the same time. Other families may decide to hold a memorial service at a later date.
