Hi, I'm Tim

I am a humanist funeral celebrant based at the Welsh/English border, just outside Monmouth. I cover a wide area of England and Wales. I have four years experience and have conducted over one hundred and fifty services to date. I will assist you to write a service that reflects the life of your family member, using prose, poetry and music. I aim to capture the essence of the individual they were and what they stood for in their life.

It can be a very difficult time for you as a family. I will write the service and assist you through the build up to the funeral service. We aim to celebrate and give thanks for the life that has been lived. I have received excellent feedback and I always work as closely with families and friends.

I see myself as dependable and reliable and have a very strong working relationship with the funeral industry. Each service that I write is bespoke and unique.

Family and friends said it was the best send off they had ever been to. Tim brought a relaxed feel to the ceremony.

Your approach to the ceremony and the manner in which you delivered it were brilliant. You were just the man we had in mind for Dad.

Very empathetic, kind and sympathetic. His manner came across very strongly and it was a wonderful service. Thank you.

We could not have wished for anyone better to make a sad occasion a bearable and happy one.

HUMANIST CEREMONIES™ is the network of more than 550 celebrants, trained by national charity Humanists UK to a gold standard to provide memorable and meaningful humanist ceremonies to non-religious people. Operating throughout England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands, we deliver authentic, tailor-made and heartfelt ceremonies for life’s key moments. They are always inclusive and welcoming, regardless of the beliefs of those attending.

You can trust Humanist Ceremonies celebrants: We are DBS-checked, fully insured, and regularly peer reviewed for quality assurance. We are committed to a code of conduct, and have a transparent and robust complaints process in the rare case of a problem. We all pay a monthly fee to Humanists UK to further support the work of the charity, and are part of a regional network for like-minded celebrants for support and learning.

Humanist funerals

Humanist funerals, memorials and ash ceremonies are a fitting way to honour a unique life with warmth, sensitivity and meaning, but without reference to religion or an afterlife. They put the story of the person who has died at the heart of the ceremony, paying tribute to them and the legacy they leave, and provide an opportunity to bring people together, not just to share sadness but to celebrate a life lived.
