Hello, I'm Susannah: lovely to meet you.
If you find yourself here, it means you are probably going through one of the most emotionally challenging and difficult times in your life. I'm so sorry that someone close to you has died: I sympathise deeply. My sincere wish is to help you, your family and friends, navigate this moment.
Organising a funeral, burial or memorial can be overwhelming. The period between someone close to you dying and the event itself is often quite short. Grief can confuse us, make us sleepless and fuzzy brained. I am here to help.
In conjunction with the Funeral Director or Arranger, I can steer you through this complicated time: meet you, your family or/and friends at your home (or a place of your choosing), curate a beautiful and appropriate tribute and organise a structured order of service in a calm, clear atmosphere.
Together we'll create a service that honours and celebrates your loved one, committing their memory to hearts and minds, not just on the day itself, but in the weeks and months that follow.
I grew up in London and the Midlands and have had a career as a working actor for the last thirty years, on stage, screen, radio and commercials, as well as a published author, screenwriter and poet for the last eleven. These have given me a unique skillset for the role of celebrant: empathetic, with a love of people, for listening and communicating, for learning others' stories and for crafting these elements into strong narratives. I also love poetry, music and drama — these all coalesce to make my services truly special.
I love nature and walking in the great outdoors, contemporary dance, cycling, cooking, and reading, of course. I live in North London with my partner and teenage son, and two fussy cats.
