Hello! I am a wedding celebrant trained and accredited by Humanists UK. I create and conduct personalised non-religious weddings and vow renewal ceremonies that truly reflect the unique love story of each couple. The passions that have brought me to this work are my career as a coach, where I help individuals find what really matters to them and my innate belief in the power of stories to enhance human experience.

What I offer

I work closely with couples to collaboratively craft bespoke humanist wedding ceremonies that celebrate your relationship and commitment to each other, and tell your love story.I particularly like telling your story. I'm a professional storyteller so am confident speaking in public and holding an audience. I also like to use humour to connect with people. Each humanist wedding is unique, authentic and deeply meaningful, to reflect you as a couple and your personalities and interests. You can incorporate any personal elements you choose, including readings, music, singing, and rituals - to make the day uniquely yours.

I first met with Sue because myself and my husband didn’t know where to start in planning our ceremony.

We knew we didn’t want a church wedding & we wanted an outdoor humanist wedding but had no idea how to construct the ceremony.

We also didn’t like the idea of just having a council celebrant - who’d follow a format & who didn’t know us.

Sue was so enthusiastic and friendly right from the first time I met her.

She met both myself and my fiancé separately & then again together - so she was able to garner little personal snippets & different points of view from us both to form a really personable story.

She made an effort to get to know us both individually, the story of how we met & other key moments in our relationship - then coming up with suggestions to construct a ceremony personal to us.

The final outcome was more than we could have wished for, with both tears and laughter in good measure. Many of our guests said it’s the best ceremony they’ve ever attended. Thank you Sue!

Where I work

I have conducted weddings in the French Alps by the sea in Corfu, Scotland, Norfolk, Oxford and Somerset to name a few. I am happy to travel but an based mainly in Norfolk and Bedfordshire. I'm happy to conduct weddings inside or outside and am flexible to work with what the weather brings!
