I'm Sharda, a wedding celebrant trained and accredited by Humanists UK. I create and conduct personalised non-religious weddings and vow renewal ceremonies that truly reflect the unique love story of each couple.
I love weddings that represent the cultural heritage of both individuals. I was born in the Caribbean and am of Indian descent, but have lived most of my life in London/Hertfordshire, married an Essex boy and have three dual heritage sons; so I’m fully cognisant of the wonderful things that come from bringing together people of different backgrounds. But I also understand that there may be sensitivities you’ll want me to bear in mind, I have some experience of navigating these successfully so that everyone feels included and represented.
You may want to have elements in your ceremony that reflect your different cultural backgrounds but you may also want to put these in the wider context of the things that brought you together, in a ceremony which celebrates your shared values, hopes and dreams.

I'll work closely with you to craft a bespoke humanist wedding ceremony that celebrates your relationship and commitment to each other, and tells your love story. Each humanist wedding is unique, authentic and deeply meaningful, to reflect you as a couple and your personalities and interests.
