I combine my love of storytelling, wordsmith skills, and fascination with romance in all its forms to create ceremonies that sparkle with love and joy. I work from scratch on every script to ensure your wedding ceremony is as unique and specifically wonderful/crackers/romantic/lyrical as you.

I think one of the best things about being a wedding celebrant is finding the essence of each of the couples I work with, and telling their unique story. There’s a beautiful specificity in love - all the tiny particular, peculiar details that make this person YOUR person.

I revel in the process of making something together: getting to know you, rummaging around in your memories for the tiny details that make you you, finding the funny bits, discovering the unexpectedly moving ones, and turning them into a ceremony that feels unmistakably yours.

About me

I trained as an actor and I have a Masters in Creative Writing, so I think it's safe to say that storytelling is my bag, and bringing the joy is my speciality! One of my Humanist Wedding trainers said that my 'sense of playfulness is contagious' and I think that is one of the loveliest things anyone's said about me.

I love words, stories, puns, puzzles, Yorkshire Gold tea, blousy roses, pubs and museums and I love love. I am interested in teasing out all the tiny, peculiar details that give one relationship a completely different alchemy to any other.
