I'm delighted that you are considering a Humanist ceremony - and even more so that you've found your way to me!
Whether you’re newly engaged, you’ve been planning your wedding for some time, or you’re hoping to renew your vows – congratulations!
You may already know that you don't want a religious ceremony. But perhaps you’d like something more flexible and personal than a typical civil ceremony. A celebration that feels authentic, meaningful, and completely custom-made for you.
Well, you’ve come to just the right place, because that’s exactly what I do.
I specialise in crafting and conducting beautifully bespoke wedding ceremonies for couples who are looking for something a bit different.
It doesn’t matter whether you think of yourselves as Humanists or not: I’d love to help you find just the right blend of elements to create a ceremony that reflects your values, your love, your wishes for your marriage and your future life together. The beauty of a Humanist ceremony is that there is no set formula; I will work closely with you to understand how your love can best be celebrated and how I can help you reflect who you are.
Your ceremony can include any combination of traditional and more offbeat features. Classic and dignified… quirky and playful… relaxed and low-key – what’s right is what works for you!
Together we will set the tone, craft the content and create the atmosphere that are perfect for you – and I can provide as much or as little guidance as you need.
I love ceremony and ritual, especially as a way to mark special moments and transitions in our lives. And I think we should be able to enjoy them without needing to make promises to anyone or anything other than ourselves and our loved ones. I believe that words and stories have awesome power to make us think, explore and express our emotions. That’s why I decided to become a Humanist celebrant.
Me in a few words:
I am loyal, calm, thoughtful, with a wicked (and often pretty dark) sense of humour.
I love reading, writing, poetry, walking, and cooking curries. I am also *music-obsessed* and have a thing for rabbits.
I live in Sussex, near the Surrey and Kent borders and the beautiful Ashdown Forest, with my husband, children and our bunnies.
If you think I might be the celebrant for you – or if you have any questions – please get in touch!
