Hello Darlings! Welcome to the next step in planning one of the best days of your life! My name is Sam Mercer, I am a fully qualified Humanist celebrant with a diverse history of public speaking, and I offer non religious wedding ceremonies in Northern Ireland, and most importantly, I love what I do!

Whether you are imagining a luxurious affair full of pomp and grandeur, or an intimate gathering to reflect upon your love, I can personally tailor a celebration worthy of your needs. I will work closely with you both to provide a truly unique experience that authentically tells the story of your commitment to each other. Wether you tie the knot in an old castle, or your living room, with hundreds of friends, or just your cats and a nosey neighbour, I am here to inject a sense of joyousness and exuberance into proceedings.

We had the privilege of being married by Sam, and what a day it was! Sam was an absolute professional from start to finish making us feel very relaxed and supported along the way. The actual wedding script itself was absolutely above and beyond what we expected, needless to say there were some tears of joy shed by ourselves and guests alike. We are so grateful that Sam was a pert of our special day.

Where I work

I work within a 90 min radius of Belfast or County Down ( approx 60/70 miles). I will consider weddings further a field with some negotiation on travel expenses. I can also accommodate a limited number of destination weddings.

Fees from...

£700, This includes:

Two meet ups, online or in person.

Drafting of your fully personalised wedding script, including any edits or amendments along the way.

Travel expenses up to approximately 90 mins / 60 miles

Coordinating with your wedding team at the venue, ensuring things progress seamlessly between myself, photographers, readers, ring bearers etc.

Publicly officiating your wedding ceremony, and overseeing the legal documentation.

We are committed to a code of conduct, and have a transparent and robust complaints process in the rare case of a problem. We all pay a monthly fee to Humanists UK to further support the work of the charity, and are part of a regional network for like-minded celebrants for support and learning.
